🩺 Health Insurance
All Erasmus+ students should have valid health insurance for the entire mobility period. Non-EU students are strongly advised to purchase additional private health insurance before arrival.
💳 European Health Insurance Card (EHIC)
Students from EU/EEA countries should bring a valid European Health Insurance Card (EHIC). The EHIC provides access to medically necessary public healthcare in Poland under the same conditions as Polish citizens.
🏥 Hospitals
For emergencies and specialist medical care, students can use public hospitals in Nysa. In case of emergency, call 112 or go to the nearest Emergency Department (SOR).
💊 Pharmacies
Pharmacies (Apteka) are widely available in Nysa. Most medicines require a prescription, while basic medications can be purchased over the counter. For information about the nearest on-duty pharmacy, call the NFZ Information Line: 800 190 590 (English available).
💙 Psychological Support
International students may receive psychological support through UAS in Nysa Student Support Services. In urgent situations, free national psychological helplines are also available 24/7.

- Poland is generally a safe country, but always take normal precautions.
- Keep your passport, ID and valuables in a safe place.
- Do not leave personal belongings unattended.
- Be aware of your surroundings, especially at night.
- Save the emergency number 112 in your phone.
