Partnership Agreements between the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa and Université de Ain Temouchent in Algeria

On May 23, 2025, the Rector of the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa signed two cooperation agreements with Université de Ain Temouchent in Algeria. These new agreements open up broad opportunities for scientific and educational collaboration as well as academic exchange for students and staff.

Framework Agreement on Scientific and Educational Cooperation sets out the principles of general cooperation between the two institutions in the following areas:

  • joint scientific research,
  • exchange of academic staff through guest lectures, consultations, and participation in conferences,
  • exchange of students and young academic staff for training purposes,
  • joint participation in European programmes (including Erasmus+),
  • exchange of scientific publications and information.

The agreement also provides for the development of specific areas of cooperation in the form of annexes and outlines the principles of financing and organizing academic mobility. It was signed by the Rectors of both universities: Dr. Eng. Mariusz Kołosowski, Professor (University of Applied Sciences in Nysa) and Prof. Abdelkader Ziadi (Université de Ain Temouchent). The agreement will be valid for five years, with the possibility of extension.

The second agreement renews the Bilateral Inter-Institutional Agreement within the Erasmus+ Programme (KA171 action), valid for the academic years 2024/25–2028/29. The scope of cooperation includes the mobility of students, academic and administration staff in the fields of business and management, languages, engineering, and information and communication technologies. The signing of both agreements marks another important step in the internationalization of the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa, enabling the development of cooperation with countries outside the European Union and strengthening the university’s international profile.
