From Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico to Nysa in Poland Trainee at the UAS in Nysa ICO
Hi! My name is Héctor Eliseo García Velasco, and I’m from Ensenada, Baja California, Mexico. I’m currently in my 6th semester of a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Intelligence and Innovation at CETYS Universidad, Ensenada Campus. Right now, I’m doing an internship in the International Relations Office at the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa, Poland, and I’m really excited to be here!
I speak Spanish and English, and I’m passionate about innovation, international business, and discovering how different cultures work and connect. I love being active — I’m a black belt in taekwondo, and I enjoy running regularly. Back home, I run with a local group called Bolts, and I also work for Anube Sports, a company dedicated to tracking and Timing to sports events such as Norra’s baja 2000 and Score Baja 1000.
In addition to that, I run a small business offering upholstery cleaning and mobile carwash services, which has taught me a lot about customer service, responsibility, and entrepreneurship.
One of my biggest hobbies is off-road racing. Growing up in Ensenada, I’ve always been surrounded by iconic races like the Baja 1000 and the NORRA 1000, and they’ve become a meaningful part of my life and identity.
I decided to come to Poland because I wanted to step out of my comfort zone and experience something completely different. Being here in Nysa gives me the chance to grow not only as a student, but also as a person — to learn from an international environment, meet people from all over the world, and contribute with my own background and energy.
I’m truly thankful for this opportunity and looking forward to everything this journey will bring!
