Students from UAS in Nysa completed courses at the International Summer Programme at CETYS Ensenada in MEXICO!

From July 14 to 25, 2025, 7 students from the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa participated in the next edition of the International Summer School at CETYS Universidad in Mexico! This opportunity was organized under the Erasmus+ program as short-term mobility, with students receiving funding of 2,448 EUR to cover travel and accommodation expenses. The participation in the courses was free for students, as the universities have a signed educational cooperation agreement. UAS in Nysa also covered the costs of accommodation, insurance, study visits, and airport transfers.

This time, the students represented the following fields of study: Finance and Accounting, Computer Science, English Philology, Psychophysical Conditioning of Humans (Trainers from Nysa), and Management and Production Engineering. The mobility was an excellent opportunity for them to gain valuable knowledge, develop professional skills, and establish international contacts, as around 270 students from 22 countries worldwide participated in the courses offered this year.

The main goal of the exchange was to take part in 40-hour courses on selected topics, most of which were related to the participants' study programs. For completing the courses, students received 4 ECTS credits. This time, the students from Nysa chose courses such as Strategic Management, Project Management, Business Intelligence, Negotiation Strategies, Social Media Marketing, and Global Organizations Management.

In addition to the intensive academic program, the participants took part in study visits to industrial plants and companies in the Baja California region, as well as numerous unforgettable cultural attractions, including: Mexican Culture Day, city tours, volleyball tournaments, a visit to the Wine Studies Center (CEVIT), culinary workshops in Tlaquepaque, a trip to La Bufadora and St. Thomas Winery, and many other events. They also managed to visit Los Angeles and San Diego, bringing back many unforgettable memories.

The courses and events were also a great opportunity to promote the Nysa University on the international stage and to establish new professional and personal contacts. On behalf of UAS in Nysa, the university was represented by Anna Opałka, who conducted a 40-hour course on "Global Organizations Management" as part of the event, sharing her knowledge with participants from around the world. Mobility was organized under the Erasmus+ program and Anna Opalka was also a TUTOR supporting the students during the course. Anna Opałka, as Head of the External Relations at the UAS in Nysa, also had several meetings with representatives of CETYS Universidad authorities to summarize the current cooperation and discuss plans for the next academic year. Additionally, she met with representatives from other CETYS partner universities to promote similar events organized at UAS in Nysa. As a result of these discussions, UAS in Nysa signed an agreement with Manav Rachna University in Delhi, India, whose students will visit Nysa as part of the summer school in 2026.

The next recruitment for the International Summer Programme in Mexico will take place in March 2026!
