Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín in Slovakia
From June 12-16, 2023, employees of our Academy: Vice-Rector for Cooperation and Development Dr. Piotr Chwastyk, Ewa Cegiela, MA, Renata Kalka-Piegza, MA, and Katarzyna Wąsowicz, MA, visited Alexander Dubček University of Trenčín in Slovakia.
The visit had both a training and teaching character. It was carried out within the framework of the Erasmus+ program.
During the meeting at the Faculty of Special Technologies, discussions were held with representatives of the University of Trenčín. The meeting was hosted by Deputy Rector for Cooperation Jozef Majerík and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Special Technologies Igor Barényi. Both sides presented the qualities of their universities and then the possibilities for cooperation were discussed. Of particular interest was the possibility of joint student projects within the framework of the Blended Intensive Program aimed at modern technologies in design and machining with CNC machines. The University of Trenčín is completing a major EU-funded project on the construction of modern CNC laboratories.
An interesting part of the visit to the Department of Special Technologies was a tour of the lecture halls and laboratories where future engineers are trained and research work is carried out.
Our employees also held meetings at the Office of International Cooperation where they had the opportunity to learn about the work in the internationalization area of the university.
