AI in Higher Education – International Staff Week 2026 in Nice

AI in Higher Education – International Staff Week 2026 in Nice

From 13 to 17 April 2026, I had the pleasure of representing our University during the International Staff Week organized by ISIM Business School in Nice. The main theme of the event was “AI for Education Professionals”.

As an IT specialist, already familiar with the technical and organizational possibilities of implementing artificial intelligence in teaching and administrative processes, I focused on the legal and ethical aspects of using modern AI tools. The thematic session led by a psychologist provided an excellent environment for exchanging views and discussing concerns and expectations regarding AI services.

As is customary during Erasmus Week, in addition to the substantive sessions related to the main theme, there were presentations by universities from across Europe, offering participants an opportunity to discover the cultural diversity of the continent. I continue to be fascinated by the unique approaches taken by presenters when selecting the key topics for their presentations – from centuries-old university traditions and famous graduates, through modern technical facilities and teaching methods, geographical location and accessibility by public transport, to the prices of meals in the university cafeteria, precisely stated in the local currency.

The organizers also arranged leisure activities, including a coach trip around the surrounding area and a guided tour of the historic part of the city.

During my week-long stay in France, I met only friendly and courteous local residents who were happy to communicate in English. My complete lack of knowledge of the French language was never an obstacle to carrying out my plans.

I strongly encourage my colleagues to take part in Erasmus+ training mobility programmes, and on a personal note, I highly recommend visiting the beautiful French Riviera.
