Adaptation Day for Erasmus+ students
On October 4, 2024, the International Cooperation Office of the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa organized Adaptation Day for Erasmus+ students, who arrived for the winter semester 2024/25. The event aimed to make it easier for international students to adapt and socialize with other participants of the program and polish students, but also to get to know the university, its structure and educational resources.
Formal rules related to their stay, study program, and matters linked to their ongoing mobility were introduced to students. Particular attention was given to practical issues, such as managing potential ‘culture shock’ and access to support in unforeseen situations.
One of the most important aspects of the meeting was integration component, in which students had a chance to not only get to know each other better, but also to get in touch with student-tutors, who represent academic society in Nysa and assist throughout the entire stay of Erasmus+ program participants. Through numerous group tasks, students could break down communication barriers and forge meaningful relationships with peers from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Adaptation Day was also an opportunity to explore the city of Nysa, its culture, and places essential for students’ daily life. We would like to thank all the participants for their attendance and wish them a semester full of unforgettable experiences.
