Adaptation Day for Erasmus+ Students

Adaptation Day for Erasmus+ Students

On February 21, 2024, an Adaptation Day was held for foreign students who came to study at the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa under the Erasmus+ program. In the summer semester, 33 students from countries such as Albania, Armenia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Montenegro, Egypt, Georgia, Spain, Japan, Kosovo, Mexico, Portugal, Thailand and Turkey will study at the Nysa academy.

The event was opened by Dr. Piotr Chwastyk, Vice-Rector for Development and Cooperation, who welcomed the students on behalf of the entire academic community, as well as the University Authorities. During the adaptation day, students were introduced to the structure, offer and didactic facilities of the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa by Anna Opalka, M.Sc., Head of the DKZ, and Dagmara Bojda, M.Sc., with the opportunities offered by studying under the Erasmus+ program.

The students also received useful information on administrative procedures, as well as tips on using the library and other facilities prepared for foreign students. They were also encouraged to take an active part in academic life by participating in various student events and initiatives. In addition, thanks to the support of Polish students, including representatives of the PANS Student Government in Nysa, foreign students had the opportunity to establish initial contacts with representatives of the academic community and take part in numerous integration games and activities. This provided an opportunity to get to know each other better, better adapt and exchange experiences of university life.

In addition, the students presented their native languages during organized presentations as part of the International Mother Tongue Day, which was celebrated that day at the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa. The Adaptation Day was organized to provide support and integration for PANS students in Nysa and foreign students.

Welcome to Nysa and have a great time there!
