32 students from around the world begin their semester at UAS in Nysa!

UAS in Nysa is becoming truly international! In the winter semester of the 2026/2027 academic year, we are welcoming 32 international students who will study in a variety of fields, including engineering and technology, health sciences, philology, pedagogy and finance. Our international students have come to Nysa from countries including Türkiye, Spain, Romania, Egypt, Ukraine, Indonesia, Japan, Greece, Armenia, Colombia, Georgia and Cabo Verde.

Their adventure in Nysa began on 30 September with our Orientation Day. The event was designed to help students prepare for the start of their studies, get to know the University and the city, and, above all, provide an opportunity to meet one another and make new friends. During the information session, students learned about the most important aspects of studying at UAS in Nysa, the organisation of classes and how the University operates. The meeting also covered residence-related formalities, available support, the University's activities and opportunities, as well as practical aspects of everyday life in Nysa. Students also received useful tips on adapting to a new country and academic environment. There was, of course, time for questions and for clearing up any doubts before classes begin.

The students were welcomed by representatives of the University, the International Cooperation Office, the Faculty of Modern Languages and the Student Government. A particularly exciting part of the day was an interactive city and campus game, which took place across UAS in Nysa buildings and some of the city's most distinctive locations. International students, together with students of Philology and Applied Linguistics, explored our University buildings and discovered some of the most important places in Nysa. Along the way, they learned about the city's history and found locations that will soon become part of their everyday student life. The game was a great way to bring Polish and international students together, break down the first language and cultural barriers, and start the new semester in a friendly and international atmosphere.

Welcome to UAS in Nysa! We wish you all a successful semester, many new friendships and wonderful memories of your time in Nysa!
