Online lecture for students of Sumy National Agrarian University

On 04.01.2024, at the request of the Ukrainian university Sumy National Agrarian University in the city of Sumy, Dr Adam Ujma gave an open lecture to students of the university's Faculty of Civil Engineering. The lecture, entitled The lecture, entitled "Energy Efficiency and Resource Saving. The European experience', was delivered remotely using the Zoom platform, which is now used for teaching in many Ukrainian universities. The three-hour lecture covered Basics of new energy and environmental requirements for buildings; Evolution of energy performance of buildings in building regulations over the years - zero carbon building standards; EU directives and other guidelines on energy efficiency and environmental performance of buildings; Context of the creation and details of the 'Wave of Renovation' programme; Technical solutions contributing to the standard of a sustainable, green, zero carbon building; Facades and roofs of buildings with vegetation in European and national regulations. The lecture was well received by the students and staff of Sumy National Agrarian University. The offer of studies and other forms of cooperation of the UAS in Nysa or students and staff of the University in Sumy was also presented.  

The University of Applied Sciences in Nysa has signed a cooperation agreement with Sumy National Agrarian University in 2023. This agreement will, among other things, allow the organisation of staff and student mobility from the Ukrainian university to the UAS in Nysa within the framework of the Erasmus+ programme.
