SHUTTLE Erasmus+ KA-220 Partnership Project: Consortium meeting, 17-18 October 2024

The University of Applied Science in Nysa has received funding of 400.000 EUR for the implementation of the KA220-HED project- cooperation partnership in the higher education sector. The project under the name Sharing Future Learning Environments in Higher Education and Lifelong Learning (SHUTTLE) is be implemented from 1 September 2024 to 31 August 2027 by the consortium consisting of:
1. UCT SCHOOL OF BUSINESS; VYSOKA SKOLA CHEMICKOTECHNOLOGICKA V PRAZE, Czech Republic
2. INSTITUTO POLITECNICO DE CASTELO BRANCO, Portugal
3. HAAGA-HELIA AMMATTIKORKEA KOULU OY, Helsinki, Finland

University in Nysa serves as the coordinator of the SHUTTLE project, which aims to provide innovation support in teaching and the development of cross-cutting skills among students, academic teachers, and industry partners. The project addresses the needs of the modern labour market, focusing on integrating advanced technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (Ai) and Education 5.0.

SHUTTLE strives to improve the quality of higher education through the creation of modern, inclusive pedagogical frameworks and the implementation of advanced technologies in the teaching process. The project concentrates on enhancing key leadership skills such as digital, business, and intercultural leadership, supporting participants in gaining future competencies.
Main goals of the project include:

1. Raising the level of pedagogy and technology in higher education:

  • Creating multidimensional inclusive pedagogical frameworks
  • Assembling tools and Open Educational Resources (OER) tailored to the new frameworks
    Outcomes: pedagogical frameworks, a set of OER, national and international reports.

2. Development of leadership and cross-cutting skills:

  • Leadership courses (personal, team, business, cross-cultural, digital leadership)
  • E-books supporting improvement of these skills
  • Experimenting with Ai-assisted scenario planning
    Outcomes: 5 courses, 5 e-books, and improved leadership skills.

3. Sharing inclusive educational environments:

  • Promoting innovative educational practices and scaling solutions to other universities and industries
  • Organizing training sessions for teachers, students, and industry stakeholders.
    Outcomes: training events, conferences, joint implementation of best practices.

Additionally, SHUTTLE promotes innovative educational practices and shares them with other universities and industries, resulting in modernization of the entire educational sector of consortium members and their partners.

Through the project, universities are gaining new tools and approaches that will prepare students for the challenges of today’s labour market. SHUTTLE aims not only to modernize teaching methods, but also to create more inclusive, digitally advanced educational environments that respond better to the students’ needs and the challenges of the modern job market. Thanks to the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa, partner universities and industry institutions will acquire new tools and innovative methods, which will support the development of future leaders’ competencies.
