RECOVER Workshop: “Supporting Young People’s Mental Well-Being”

On 12-13 December 2025, the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa hosted an intensive RECOVER workshop entitled “Supporting Young People’s Mental Well-Being”, organised in cooperation with the Zdrowy Kształt Foundation as part of the European Erasmus+ RECOVER project “Youth Wellbeing Recovering Kit”.

Nearly 100 students of Preschool and Early Childhood Education participated in the training and were divided into four workshop groups.

The workshops were conducted by the co-authors of the RECOVER methodology and founders of the Zdrowy Kształt Foundation-experienced specialists in the field of young people’s mental health and creators of the “Step by Step” guide. The sessions were held in a safe and supportive atmosphere, encouraging open dialogue and active participation. Each workshop block consisted of four hours of intensive work. Participants were also provided with coffee breaks and had the opportunity to take part in individual consultations with the trainers.

During the workshops, students:

  • learned about practical tools for supporting young people’s mental health,
  • developed the ability to recognise early signs of mental health crises,
  • strengthened skills related to building a sense of safety, mindfulness, and psychological resilience,
  • expanded their pedagogical and educational competences,
  • gained access to teaching materials and the RECOVER methodology guide,
  • became part of an international initiative implemented by partners from Poland, Austria, Latvia, and Croatia.

The workshop attracted considerable interest among students. Participants emphasised the practical nature of the sessions, the relevance of the acquired skills for their future professional careers, and the engaging and inspiring approach of the trainers.

The “RECOVER – Youth Wellbeing Recovering Kit” project (No. 2024-1-PL01-KA220-YOU-000243430) is implemented under the Erasmus+ Programme. Its main objective is to strengthen mental health support for young people across Europe by providing practical, evidence-based tools for professionals working with youth, including teachers, pedagogues, psychologists, and youth workers.

We encourage you to visit the Zdrowy Kształt Foundation’s website and social media channels for more information about the RECOVER project and related activities.
