Partnership visit of Hochschule Mittweida

On 29.03-30.03.2023, UAS in Nysa hosted a delegation from the German partner university Hochschule Mittweida consisting of:
Ulrika Worbs-Reichenbach- Coordinator of student mobility
and Laura Seelig – Student`s support service officer
.

The overall purpose of the mobility was to have a working meeting with Anna Opalka, MSc.  - the University's Erasmus+ Programme Coordinator, during which the following topics were discussed:

  • increasing student exchanges by gaining new insights into the partner institution
  • identifying and overcoming barriers of mobility joint activities to enrich the cultural and professional experience of students from both universities
  • discussing organisational matters of current projects, including the Blended Intensive Programme planned for April at the Faculty of Modern languages UAS  in Nysa

During the visit guests with dr Joanna Szczepańska - lecturer at the Faculty of Economic Sciences, made a presentation of the university for students of Finance and Accounting, as well as during the ongoing Festival of Scientific Circles at UAS in Nysa. They also had the opportunity to familiarise themselves with the activities of students involved in the structures of Science Clubs at UAS in Nysa and with the University's teaching facilities.

The guests also met with the Dean of the Faculty of Modern Languages, dr hab. Alina Dittmann, and dr Alina Bryll, a lecturer in English Philology. The stay of the representatives of the partner university in Nysa was made more attractive by workshops conducted by Balena Space in Nysa. 

This semester, student Sree Sharan Suresh is studying at UAS in Nisa as part of the Erasmus+ Programme, and together with Paula Flores, an intern from the International Cooperation Office, showed the guests around the city and the University's facilities.

UAS in Nysa is collaborating with Hochschue Mittweida on courses such as Production Management, Computer Science, Finance and Accounting as well as Business Language and English Philology. In the near future, i.e. 24-28.04.2023r. there will be an international workshop of the BIP-Blended Intensive Programme within the Erasmus+ programme entitled. "Economic Issues: Global & European Perspective', coordinated by University of Applied Sciences in Nysa and partnered by Hochschue Mittweida (Germany) and University of Dunajvaros (Hungary).
