Partnership visit and signing the agreement with Public University „Kadri Zeka” Gijan in Kosovo

On September 27th, 2024, during a partnership visit from the Public University „Kadri Zeka” Gijan in Kosovo to UAS in Nysa, a  Cooperation Agreement on scientific and educational collaboration between the universities was signed. 

„Kadri Zeka”, headquartered in Gjilan, was represented by Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Artan Dërmaku, while on behalf of the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa, the agreement was signed by Vice-Rector for Cooperation and Development, Dr Eng. Piotr Chwastyk. During this meeting, the following individuals also participated: Vice-Rector for International Cooperation from the university in Kosovo, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Dukagjin Leka, and the Head of the International Cooperation department at the University of Applied Sciences in Nysa, Ms. Anna Opałka, MA.

The university in Nysa is already collaborating with the Public University „Kadri Zeka” under the Erasmus+ program in various areas, such as  Computer Science, Business and Administration, and Psychology and Languages. 
The signed agreement additionally includes, among other aspects:

  • Collaboration within other European programs.
  • The exchange of academic staff through guest lectures, consultations, research, and involvement in scientific events.
  • The exchange of young academic staff and students to provide training.
  • The exchange of publications and scientific information.

We are looking forward to new future perspectives for students and staff of both institutions.
