Guest lectures by lecturers from Çağ University in Turkey
We were pleased to host two exceptional lecturers from Çağ University in Turkey, who shared their knowledge and experience during lectures for our students. Üzümcüler Kaan, during his lecture, explored key issues in the field of sociolinguistics.
The students had the opportunity to learn about topics such as:
- Language diversity (dialects, accents, and sociolects)
- The relationship between language and identity, including phenomena such as code-switching and multilingualism
- The evolution of languages in a social context Additionally, the participants were introduced to sociolinguistic research methods, which allow for the analysis of language in real-world social contexts.
Ekizoğlu Mehmet, the second lecturer, focused on international cooperation and academic development in a global environment. His lecture focused on:
- The importance of intercultural communication and perspectives in education
- Strengthening cooperation between universities
- Promoting a multicultural academic environment that supports modern educational standards
