Polish language courses in India
1. Delhi University, Slavonic and Finno-Ugrian Studies (SFUS), Arts Faculty
Polish courses were introduced at Delhi University as a result of the Indo-Polish agreement on cultural exchange. The Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland is continuously supporting the program by supplying educational materials, textbooks, literature and dictionaries. It is also providing a Polish native speaker lecturer.
Every year the Ministry is funding two or three scholarships for the most talented Polish language students at DU. They receive a chance to improve their language skills during a three week intensive Polish course at one of the universities in Poland.
Polish language is a part of two programs at Delhi University:
- 3 year course in practical Polish: each year students take an exam which enables them to obtain a diploma reflecting their level of language skills (1.Certificate, 2. Diploma, 3. Advanced Diploma in Polish)
- Post-graduate students of Russian Language can choose Polish as a complementary subject
