International Staff Training Week

Over 50 participants from 17 countries and 4 continents! Between the 22nd and 26th of May 2023, “International events management – logistics, contents and communication” staff training week took place in the Academy of Applied Sciences in Nysa. The course was attended by guests from USA, UK, India, Mexico, Algeria, Ukraine, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Kosovo, Portugal, Spain, Germany, Czechia Republic, Turkey, Croatia and Estonia.

The program covered the topic of hosting international events in terms of planning, promotion and implementation. Additionally, participants were introduced to tools and software which can significantly facilitate the organization of such events.

The most significant benefit of attending the program was the exchange of experiences between participants who host events on a regular basis on various levels, hence they observe their organization from different perspectives: experts, participants, lecturers, administration, finance or top management or stakeholders.

Aside from the staff training, students of the academy in Nysa had the opportunity to attend various lectures carried out by representatives of different faculties. Vice-chancellors of the partnered universities attending the event, also had the opportunity to meet with JM Rector Dr. Przemysław Malinowski. In addition, guests had the opportunity to get acquainted with the infrastructure of the University as well as the history and monuments of the city of Nysa and attend a concert performed by students of the Jazz Department with the participation of artist Mieczyslaw Szczesniak and a team-building meeting at Fort Prussia. International events such as the one hosted in Nysa are one of many possible forms of developing the internalization of the University and establishing connections that may result in further joint projects.
